How To Share Mobile Data With Tablet?

How To Share Mobile Data With Tablet

There are a few options for sharing your mobile hotspot with tablets.

Most smartphones have the ability to share their mobile hotspot with others. This process is usually very simple and can be done in just a few steps:

  • The first step is to make sure that your mobile hotspot is turned on.
  • Once it is turned on, you will need to find the name of your network and the password. This information should be located in your phone’s network settings. 
  • Next, you will need to pair up the device (tablet) that you would like to share your mobile hotspot.
  • Use your tablet to find the name of your network WiFi that we’ve created for data sharing.
  • Insert the same password and connect to the Hotspot WiFi network of your mobile phone.
  • Now you’ll be able to connect to use the internet on your tablet.

Two Options For Data Sharing With Your Tablet:

  • Option1: Mobile Hotspot Connection
  • Option2: USB Tethering Connection

1. Mobile Hotspot Connection (Shared WiFi)

Steps To Access Mobile Hotspot For Data Sharing:

  1. Go to Settings of Mobile.
  2. Open Mobile Hotspot Settings.
  3. Turn on Mobile Hotspot.
  4. On the next screen, you will need to enter the name of your network and the password.
  5. This is the name of your network, you can change it to suit your needs but it must be unique to each mobile hotspot.
  6. The next screen will let you choose the devices that you would like to connect to your network. You can enter up to 8 devices. If you want to add more, just touch Add Device.
  7. Once all the devices have been added, you can connect to other devices through WiFi.
  8. Open Wifi on your Tablet and Connect to the hotspot that you created with the same username and password that you’re provided.

1. USB Tethering Connection

Steps To Use USB Tethering Connection For Data Sharing:

  1. The first step is to make sure that the tablet and the computer are both turned on and connected to the same network. 
  2. Next, open up the Settings app on the tablet and tap on More under Wireless & networks. 
  3. Tap on Tethering & portable hotspot and then USB tethering. 
  4. If prompted, tap on the switch at the top of the screen to turn on USB tethering.
  5. A notification will pop up on the computer letting you know that it has been successfully connected to the tablet.
  6. You can now open up a web browser or any other app that needs an internet connection and start using it like normal. 
  7. To disconnect your tablet from the computer, simply turn off USB tethering and the connection will automatically end.
