Buying Guide for Slim ATX Cases

With slim ATX cases, you can build a space-saving computer with the ability to accommodate high-end components.

These are the key features and considerations to keep in mind when selecting a slim ATX case, so you can find the perfect balance between space and functionality for your next build.

AirFlow:

Take care not to compromise airflow for a beautiful design. To remain responsive to demanding tasks without being constrained by excessive temperatures, a good system has to be cooled, and it depends on your choice of cooling solution, fans, or water-cooling radiators.

Compatible ATX Sizes:

You may use any size thin PC case to accommodate compatible gear with appropriate dimensions. You can go for full towers (EATX) or conventional ATX-size thin cases that will suit the majority of high-end PC components; plus there are cases that fit small components and that often fall into the mini-ITX and Mid Tower (M-ATX) categories.

Tight Room:

Thin and light chassis has limited room for cable management, which is one of their primary drawbacks; nevertheless, if you don’t care for clean cables, they are perfect for HTPC, a media library, or a VR gaming system.

PSU:

Most small and slim ATX PC cases are restricted for normal ATX power supplies and suit either SFX, SFX-L, or TFX form factors, other than Flex ATX for odd proportions.

Weights:

What’s best about the slimline PC cases is they are not bulky, and easy to transport for occasional or formal traveling in an RV (motorhome) or an airplane, as they fit the criteria of portable luggage.
